Mezcal Week at International

We are using Montelobos, Ojo de Tigre ,Clande, Flor de desierto , and illegal. We want to promote our Mezcalarita Cocktail. We want our customers to know we can make some good art with mezcal, its not only a shot. Its something we could also have on a mix drink.

Breaking Down the Business of Mexican Spirits

This will be a discussion with the Ricardo Pico (Clande Sotol), William Scanlan (Heavy Metl Imports) and Robert Horton (JVS Imports) about the business of Mexican Spirits and the challenges you face at the supplier, importer and distributor level.

American Oak x Banhez Mezcal Week

American Oak is featuring a Mezcal Week Cocktail and flight special. Their “La Sandia Rosa” is crafted with Banhez Ensemble, Combier Rose, Lillet, Watermelon & Lime or enjoy a “Boiler Maker” with your choice of Aval Cider and Banhez Ensemble. The flight includes Banhez Tepeztate, Cuishe, and Pechuga.

On Thursday 9/10/20 at 6pm American Oak will host an agave education with Banhez Mezcal Director of Education Alex Jandernoa. The talk will dive into the Ethics and Sustainability of the UPADEC Co-Op and Banhez Mezcal.

Wahaka Mezcal Dinner

To celebrate Mezcal Week we will be featuring Wahaka Mezcal for a special tasting and small bites. All week we will feature the flight but Saturdays dinner will consist of a presentation on Wahaka Mezcal from Drew Garrison. Please Join us on our brand new patio and sip some great mezcals with us! ‘Carter Beats The Devil‘ Mezcal Cocktail Kit at Alkali Rye

Please join us for an Instagram Live Event as Alkali Rye Owner, Jessica Moncada, demonstrates how to make one of her favorite Del Maguey Mezcal cocktails, Carter Beats The Devil. This cocktail was originally created by Erik Adkins during his time at the famous Oakland Bar, Flora (now shuttered), and is considered a modern Bay Area classic that has inspired numerous riffs. Del Maguey Mezcal Juez, Max Monroe, will be joining Jessica as they chat about the history of this famed cocktail and all other things mezcal.

Carter Beats The Devil Cocktail Kits will be available for purchase at Alkali Rye all week (Sept 8-15)

Agave A-Z Seminar & Tasting

As part of global Mezcal Week, El Buho Mezcal and RCR will feature an Agave A-Z seminar and 20-spirit tasting led by industry expert John Henry.
